A peaberry is a natural mutation of the coffee bean inside its cherry; normally coffee beans grow in two halves. Only about 5 percent of coffee beans grow this way, and it is said that peaberries roast more evenly than flat berries, giving peaberry coffee an exceptionally balanced aroma and taste.
